Elliot Marlow-Stevens
Elliot Marlow-Stevens is a musician and PhD student at Durham University. Supervised by Andy Hamilton, his thesis is on aesthetics within jazz from the late 1940s onward. His initial introduction to jazz was through the music of John Coltrane and Gil Scott-Heron and, being guitarist, he was later influenced by Allan Holdsworth, John McLaughlin, Grant Green and Frank Zappa, to name a few.
