Sascha Osborn: Looking Out and After

1871

Although promoted to a jazz magazine for review, there is sadly little jazz to be heard on singer Osborn’s first album release, which carries a folkish air throughout. Listening to her voice is not an unpleasant experience, it’s simply that delivery and tone do not belong in the jazz arena. For comparison, your reviewer would suggest a less aggressive Joni Mitchell – consequently not half as interesting.
