I enjoyed making the acquaintance of the new online version of JJ and reading about Brian Morton’s encounter with trumpeter Ted Curson in Finland in his excellent Alt. takes 01/19 column.
I agree that Curson’s 55-year-old Tears for Dolphy is a wonderful album but would also mention his 1966 Urge (Fontana) with Booker Ervin (tenor sax), Jimmy Woode (bass) and Edgar Bateman (drums).

This recording has eluded me for many years and if anyone can provide me with a copy of this currently almost impossible to find CD I’d be eternally grateful.
