Tamba Trio: Tamba Trio – LP

They say : The most talented bossa nova group of the ’60s, Tamba Trio perfected a swinging version of bossa nova vocal jazz that proved incredibly influential throughout the world. Presented here is their debut album, ‘O Barquinho’ (Little Boat), which was a huge hit in Brazil and throughout South and Central America. Comprising pianist Luiz Eça, bassist Bebeto, and drummer Helcio Milito, the trio not only played a wide range of instruments but also contributed incredibly close vocal harmonies. Taylor, Laura: Think I’m In Love

They say : Inspired by pianist-arranger Uli Geissendoerfer, she sings everything from swinging pieces to ballads and her first recording of the title cut, made famous by Diana Ross. (Vegas Records VR1030)

The Afton Project: vol. 1: between fading photograhs

Theorem Of Joy: Feux

They say : French jazz quintet Theorem of Joy comes back with Feux, their third album, out on the 09.19.25. Led by bassist-composer Thomas Julienne, music blends jazz with Indian, classical, post-rock, and electronic influences. Nine original tracks explore humanity’s inner and collective fires through past, present, and future. Thomson, Patrisha: Your Love

Tillotson, Aretha: Kinda Out West

They say : Edmonton bassist Aretha Tillotson returns with Kinda Out West, the follow-up to her Western Canadian Music Award-winning debut Introducing Aretha Tillotson. Inspired by the landscapes and spirit of Western Canada, the album pays tribute to Alberta and BC’s resilient, community-minded artists. Featuring sisters Ingrid and Christine Jensen on horns, the chordless quartet evokes the adventurous energy of Sonny Rollins and Ornette Coleman while showcasing Tillotson’s modern, expressive writing. Toftemark/Benack III Quintet: Roadmap

They say : Denmark’s leading outlet for forward-thinking jazz, April Records, proudly presents a new signing in the Toftemark/Benack III Quintet, led by Emmy-award winning trumpeter/vocalist Benny Benack III (Christian McBride, Peter Bernstein) and European Jazz Master saxophonist Andreas Toftemark. Tone Of Voice Orchestra: Running From The Devil

Tsilimparis, Victor / Tsolis, Sotiris / Palamiotis, George: The Persistence Of Doubt

They say : Recorded live in Athens and reshaped through extensive editing and reassembly, The Persistence of Doubt recalls Teo Macero’s work with Miles Davis’s electric era—free improvisation transformed through the studio into new form. Synths, bass, and drums collide and dissolve, creating seven vivid soundscapes that balance structure and abstraction. Underground Spiritual Game: Of Time

Vorobiov, Dmytro: Wandering Spaces

They say : Wandering Spaces is a debut album by composer and multi-instrumentalist Dmytro Vorobiov. Performed entirely solo on EWI, piano, synths and percussion, the record blends ambient textures with jazz fusion and improvisation. The sound references Miles Davis’ electric era, extended forms and open harmonies, while maintaining a modern ambient feel. Release: 21 November 2025. Wakan: Being Dantès

Was, Don & The Pan Detroit Ensemble: Groove In The Face Of Adversity

They say : Don Was, the 6x GRAMMY® Award-winning musician, producer and composer, pays tribute to his hometown of Detroit with his new band, Don Was and the Pan-Detroit Ensemble, and their debut album Groove In The Face of Adversity. Watson, Bobby: Perpetual Groove – CD

They say : Perpetual Groove is one of saxophonist Bobby Watson’s earliest dates as a leader and his first of several recordings for Red Records. Recorded live at the Scimmie Jazz Club in Milan over two nights, these 1983 performances followed his departure from Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers as the band’s music director and saxophonist. Supported by an all-Italian trio, Watson delivers powerful performances on such standards as Cherokee, Oleo, Blue ‘N’ Boogie, and his own composition Perpetual Groove. (Red Records RR1231722)

Webster, Ben: King Of The Tenors – LP

They say : Producer by Norman Granz, ‘King of the Tenors’ is the result of two sessions, both of which feature Ben Webster with musicians who were part of Jazz at the Philharmonic touring entourage at the time. While one of the sessions has Webster sharing the front line with Benny Carter and Harry “Sweets” Edison, the other presents Webster as the sole horn backed by the Oscar Peerson Trio. White, David: While You Were Sleeping

They say : Guitarist David White has been pushing boundaries for 3 decades. With this incredible trio (John Lockwood, bass, of Joe Lovano fame) and Mark Walker (drums, of Paquito D’Rivera), they combine post-bop, lush chordal arrangements, and virtuosic blowing over interesting odd-meter grooves. It’s modern jazz that goes well beyond into Latin, rock, and Americana territory: fusion in the truest sense, echoing Bass Desires, Return to Forever, or Snarky Puppy, but unlike anything else in jazz today. Will Barnes Quartet: Outside the Light

Williams, Jordan: Playing By Ear – CD

They say : There is something surprisingly natural about the way pianist Jordan Williams presents himself to the world with this debut album. ‘Playing by Ear’ is more than an aesthetic statement: it is a stance on spontaneity and reliance on emotion even before structures. Featuring jazz standards such as Herbie Hancock’s ‘One Finger Snap’, and Horace Silver’s ‘Peace’, this is an auspicious debut with Wilson accompanied by musicians, Jeff ”Tain” Watts on drums and Wallace Rooney Jr. on trumpet. Winkelmann, Wink: Be It Known

They say : “Be It Known” marks the long-anticipated debut of bassist and composer Wink Winkelmann—a bold and genre-defying statement from an artist whose musical path has been anything but conventional. After a 15-year hiatus spent studying medicine and practicing dermatologic surgery, the Venice, California–based Winkelmann quietly cultivated his sound as a self-taught composer. His breakthrough moment came with the hauntingly evocative score for the critically-acclaimed film by Duane Hansen Fernandez, “A Place to Fall Down.” Building on that momentum, Winkelmann assembled a powerhouse ensemble of world-class musicians to bring his artistic vision to life. Won, Yoorim: Iklim: Memory and Curve

They say : Yoorim Won, a Korean composer, arranger, singer, and flutist, releases her debut album Iklim: Memory and Curve on 14 Nov 2025. The album blends jazz with traditional Korean music, showcasing her innovative flute techniques and jazz arrangements of Korean folk songs. Using a sliding embouchure flute, she creates sounds unique to her homeland’s instruments. Based in Paris for over a decade, she forms a quartet with top emerging French jazz talent. Wyatt, Kate: Murmurations

They say : Montréal pianist and composer Kate Wyatt returns with Murmurations, an electrifying new trio album with bassist Adrian Vedady and drummer Louis-Vincent Hamel. Inspired by the breathtaking movement of starlings in flight, the music embodies trust, empathy, and near-telepathic interplay. Featuring original compositions by all three members alongside a playful reimagining of Mack the Knife, Murmurations highlights Wyatt’s inventive voice, following the acclaim of her debut Artifact. Yates, Yoko: Eternal Moments

They say : A follow-up to her 2022 debut “Mystic Life” (SteepleChase), Sapporo-born/NYC-based pianist/composer Yoko Yates’s new album utilizes the same quintet, with whom she’s worked for the last ten years: Jamie Baum, f/af; Sam Sadigursky, cl/bcl/as; Aryeh Kobrinsky, b; Jeff Hirschfield, d. Yoko’s label name Banka means “‘many different kinds of flowers’ & ‘changing in various ways,’ so ‘kaleidoscope’ is a good description of my music, with many compositions about nature involving different styles & elements.” (Banka Records)

Zibziner, Menachem: Pulse

They say : Pulse is Menachem Zibziner’s homecoming album born from a turbulent period when music became his lifeline reconnecting him with creativity and family. Leading a trio with his son on drums and Ron Barzilai on bass the album blends contemporary and spiritual jazz with atmospheric influences. Seven tracks include originals FAM and The Night Before alongside covers of Jakob Bro Tomasz Stanko Luke Howard McCoy Tyner and Eviatar Banai creating music for emotional connection.
