Robin Lyons is a BAFTA award winning writer and producer of animated films. He has always been a jazz fan and for several years before his career in film and tv overwhelmed him reviewed jazz for the Guardian. He lives in Cardiff where he can occasionally be heard playing the tenor saxophone with more enthusiasm than skill.
