They say : Bassist Ron Carter, approaching his 89th birthday, and Israeli-born New York guitarist Yotam Silberstein pay tribute to Carter’s celebrated duo recordings with the late Jim Hall on Duets, released on JOJO Records. Dolphy, Eric: Out There
They say : Eric Dolphy’s second LP as a leader, taped in 1960 the same year he recorded his debut LP, ‘Outward Bound’. Although these were his first recordings as a leader, Dolphy was already a veteran with considerable recording experience. He had formed part of drummer Roy Porter’s orchestra during 1948-1950, and in 1949 he made his first recording with Charles Mingus.
