The leading jazz name at the 2026 Battersea Park in Concert series this bank holiday will be the Ronnie Scott’s Orchestra. The group returns to the park on 31 August after a sellout 2024 performance and is joined this year by the Amy Winehouse Band, marking 20 years since jazz-inspired north London singer Winehouse recorded her Back To Black album.
The festival’s jazz day will also feature Toby Lee, a rising star of UK blues, known for his electrifying guitar skills and soulful vocals, Ineza with her rich, emotive sound rooted in soul, jazz and R&B traditions, and Jazz Dynamo, a dynamic vocal trio who celebrate the golden age of jazz and swing.
Jazz fans might also be attracted to Friday’s offering – brand new for 2026 – which introduces Sounds of South Africa. Jeremy Loops will perform live, channelling the atmosphere of South Africa’s famous Kirstenbosch summer concerts. Jeremy appears alongside special guests the London African Gospel Choir, who will perform Paul Simon’s Graceland album.
Other music over the weekend includes the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, which on Saturday 29 August plays Pop Symphonic, featuring reimagined renditions of work by ABBA, the Spice Girls, Bruno Mars and others. Support comes from Guilty Pleasures, with a DJ set. Next day, the RPCO presents Movies and Musicals, including material from Hamilton, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Greatest Showman, Studio Ghibli and Gladiator.
The organisers stress that Battersea Park in Concert isn’t just about the music but an experience to be savoured. Attendees can bring their own picnic, “create a space and enjoy their own delightful feast” with friends and family. Also available will be pre-bookable gourmet picnic hampers from Pique plus food and drink from pop-up food-stalls and bars. New for 2026 will be pre-bookable wine-tasting sessions from French vineyard Domaine des Jeanne, on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Also, back by popular demand, will be exclusive upgrades such as Gold Circle area with seating closest to the action and the Diamond VIP Experience that offers not only the best seats, but also a private VIP garden with luxury toilets and a glass of “chilled bubbles” on arrival.
